The Romanesque-style Residence at the corner of Montague and Dorcas Streets, 377 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne, was designed by Reed and Barnes and was built in 1876-77.  It serves as the Friars house Friary and the Parish Office. It operates as an “Open House” between 11.00am and 3.00pm on weekdays.

“Open House” is the service point that provides a range of services to the needy of the area. Meals are served on Monday and Tuesday starting at 5.00pm, Wednesday breakfast at 10.00am and Friday lunch 12.30pm. There are friendly staff, including volunteer workers, to talk to visitors and offer food and other assistance. Where needed, we can offer advice on emergency accommodation and other social services.
